cemetery listings

This cemetery breaks your heart. Fallen trees, dried grass, sumac, and snakes keep watch over fallen tombstones and unnamed graves.

It is in a copse of trees between fields and was on the John Moore land, adjacent to A. S. Nixon, and near E. Steele--all of whom buried loved ones here just after the Run.

There are many more graves under the brush and probably more tombstones than the ones listed here. Other heads of families with land near include:

  • M. J. Van Wey
  • G. W. Corey
  • J. T. Acre
  • Robert Clock
  • P. Kimbro
  • M. Iven.

Look Closely! Can You find the arch and the fence around this small grave?
