HENNESSEY PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD BYLAWS
The official name of the Board shall be the Board of Trustees of the Hennessey Public Library.
The five member Board is the policy-making body advising the Library. New members shall be recommended by the Board and approved by the Town Council.
The officers of the Board shall be President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD
The regular time of meeting of this Board shall be on the Thursday designated for the Town Council meeting which is the first Thursday after the first Tuesday unless the Thursday falls on the 4th of the month or before, in which case the date will be the following Thursday unless any scheduled date falls on a holiday resulting in the meeting date being announced.The meetings shall be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Oklahoma Room of the Hennessey Public Library.
SPECIAL MEETINGS OF THE BOARD
Special meetings may be voted at any regular meeting, may be called by the President of the Board, or at the request of any two members of the Board.
MEETINGS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
All meetings of the Board shall be open to the public. Public notice of the agenda and the date, time, and place of the meeting shall be posted twenty-four hours prior to the meeting.The Board will adhere to the provisions of the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act.
A majority of the members of the Board shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.
ORDER OF BUSINESS
Meetings shall be conducted according to Robertís Rules of Order, with such modifications as the Board may from time to time determine to be desirable.
